Chaindoc is a trading name of Miraspaces OÜ, a private limited company incorporated in Estonia. The data below is the record held in the Estonian Commercial Register and can be checked against the register at any time.

The public register entry is available at ariregister.rik.ee.

Chaindoc is provided from a place of business in Estonia, so Estonian law governs the service — including in Germany, France, Spain and Portugal, where much of our audience is.

That is not a choice we made for convenience. It follows from the country-of-origin principle in Article 3 of Directive 2000/31/EC on electronic commerce, which Estonia transposed in § 3(1) of the Information Society Services Act: a service provided through a place of business located in Estonia must meet Estonian requirements regardless of which EU or EEA member state it is provided in.

The practical consequence is that our disclosure obligation comes from § 4 of the Estonian Information Society Services Act rather than from § 5 of the German Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz, Article 6-III of the French LCEN, or Article 10 of the Spanish LSSI-CE. Because all of those national rules transpose the same Article 5 of the same directive, the data they ask for is close to identical — which is why the table in section 1 satisfies each of them.

Two things sit outside this principle and are worth naming plainly:

• Consumer contracts. Article 3(4) of the directive, mirrored in § 3(4)(2) of the Estonian act, excludes contractual obligations in consumer contracts. If you contract with us as a consumer, the mandatory protections of your own country of residence still apply to you.
• Data protection. The GDPR applies directly across the EU and is not displaced by the country-of-origin rule. How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Compliance with the disclosure duties described above is supervised by the Estonian Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (Tarbijakaitse ja Tehnilise Järelevalve Amet, TTJA), which § 12 of the Information Society Services Act designates for this purpose.

Chaindoc is not a regulated profession within the meaning of § 4(2) of that act, so no professional body, professional title or professional-rules reference applies to us.

Miraspaces OÜ is not currently registered for VAT in Estonia. Section § 4(1)(4) of the Information Society Services Act requires a VAT number to be published only where the provider is a taxable person, so no VAT identification number is stated here.

If that status changes, this page is updated before the change takes effect on invoices. Prices shown on our pricing page state at that point whether they include tax; the tax treatment of each subscription is set out in section 6 of the Terms of Service.

Postal mail reaches us at the registered address in section 1. For everything else there is a form on the contact page and a support page with response times.

We answer legal correspondence in English and Estonian. Correspondence in German, French, Spanish or Portuguese is accepted and answered, though a reply may take longer.

Under Articles 11 and 12 of the Digital Services Act (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065) we maintain a single point of contact both for authorities and for users of the service. For both purposes that point of contact is legal@chaindoc.io, and correspondence is accepted in English.

Chaindoc is established in the European Union, so the Article 13 obligation to appoint a legal representative — which applies to providers established outside the Union — does not apply to us.

If you believe content stored or transmitted through Chaindoc is unlawful, write to the address above with the document reference, the URL if there is one, and what makes the content unlawful. We act on notices that give us enough to identify the material.

The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 by Regulation (EU) 2024/3228. Legal notices that still link to it point at a dead service; we do not.

Consumers in the EU can instead find a competent out-of-court dispute resolution body through the Commission's directory of dispute resolution bodies.

We are not obliged to participate in, and do not commit to, proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. We prefer to settle disputes directly: write to legal@chaindoc.io and you will get a substantive answer.

Where document content is processed and stored, and where blockchain anchoring happens, is a separate matter from where this marketing site is served. Both are set out in the Privacy Policy and in section 7 of the Terms of Service.

We write the content on these pages carefully and check it against primary sources — statutes, official registers and regulator publications — but we cannot warrant that everything is complete, current and accurate at every moment.

Nothing on this website is legal advice. Articles about electronic signatures, eIDAS, ESIGN or national form requirements describe how the law is generally understood; they do not tell you whether a particular document in a particular jurisdiction is validly signed. For that, ask a qualified lawyer in the relevant country.

As a service provider we are responsible for our own content under general law. Under §§ 8–11 of the Information Society Services Act — the Estonian transposition of Articles 12–15 of Directive 2000/31/EC — we are not obliged to monitor information we transmit or store on a user's behalf, nor to actively look for facts indicating unlawful activity. Once we obtain actual knowledge of a specific infringement, we remove the content promptly.

This site links to statutes, registers, regulators and third-party sources. Those pages are outside our control, and their operators are responsible for their content. We check every link when we add it and see no infringement at that point.

We do not monitor linked pages on an ongoing basis without a concrete reason to. Tell us about a link that has gone bad — legal@chaindoc.io — and we remove it.

The content, layout, code and graphics on this site are protected by copyright under Estonian and EU law. Reproduction, adaptation, distribution or any use beyond the limits of copyright needs our written consent. Downloads and copies of this site are permitted for private, non-commercial use.

Quoting us is fine within the limits copyright allows: quote accurately, keep it short, and name the source with a link.

Where content on this site was not created by us, third-party rights are respected and material is marked as third-party where that applies. If you spot an infringement despite this, tell us and we will remove the material promptly.
